Why anti-corona screen film when there are disinfectants?
Any disinfection of a surface is only good until the next person touches the surface or contaminates it. And this is exactly where the anti viral or anti bacterial permanent protective film from Neoxum comes into play: The effective layer permanently kills pathogens and continuously reduces the viral or bacterial load. Up to 99.9% of pathogens are inactivated within a period of minutes.
Anti viral and anti bacterial activity within a few minutes - 99.9% reduction
Antiviral effectiveness
Within a few minutes, up to 99.9% of germs are deactivated on the antiviral and anti bacterial active display film for ICP AFL3-W15A-BT. The following graphic shows that, for example, 99.9% of the Covid-19 viruses on the surface were killed after just 15 minutes. Influenza viruses, which can cause severe influenza infections, are 99.9% inactivated after just 3 minutes of contact with the anti-viral film. Diarrhea pathogens such as the norovirus are 99.9% inactivated after just 5 minutes of direct contact.
Antimicrobial efficiency
Even bacteria such as E. coli, also known as coli bacteria, which causes dangerous urinary tract diseases, pathogens of blood poisoning and are feared as the cause of hospital infections, are reliably 99.9% killed after just 5 minutes. Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus = MRSA) is a dangerous hospital germ that sometimes leads to swelling or pus accumulation, wound infections, especially after operations, inflammation of individual organs of the human organism, for example urinary tract infections, pneumonia or bloodstream infections, and even complicated blood poisoning (medical emergency) (source: BZgA).
Tested according to DIN ISO 21702 or DIN ISO 22196
The anti-virus and anti-microbial effect within a period of minutes was tested and validated by accredited testing laboratories in accordance with DIN ISO 21702 and DIN ISO 22196. Details can be found in the test reports in the download.
How long does the SARS-VoV-2 virus survive on surfaces?
Statement by the RKI on the topic of disinfection of PC components and touch displays
The RKI already describes the relevance of touch-sensitive screens and computers in the chain of infection in its statement of April 5, 2019:
" The use of computers and devices that are operated via touchscreen is everyday life in healthcare facilities, including in the patient-related environment. Since keyboards and touchscreens represent surfaces that are often touched by hand, they represent a possible route for the transmission of pathogens [...] and should therefore be taken into account in the hygiene plan [...]. "New findings from research by the CSIRO (Australia's government agency for scientific and industrial Research)
The following graphic illustrates, according to a recent evaluation by the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) = Australia's government agency for scientific and industrial research) from October 2020, that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can survive for a long time on various surfaces and remains infectious.
Mechanism of action of the anti-COVID-19 and anti-bacterial film
Based on the antiviral and antibacterial influence of copper, known since ancient times, a proven antiseptic coating is created that quickly deactivates viruses and bacteria without the use of disinfectants.
Viruses and bacteria are deactivated with the help of active copper
Copper ions, integrated in an extremely durable surface coating, react with the constantly existing atmospheric oxygen and produce reactive oxygen species.
If pathogens such as bacteria or viruses ( COVID-19, a variety of nosocomial pathogens, noroviruses, influenza viruses, adenoviruses, E. coli bacteria or Staphylococcus aureus bacteria) in direct contact with the active antiviral and antimicrobial coating of the screen protector for ICP AFL3-W15A-BT, a so-called redox reaction is triggered. Oxygen molecules from the ambient air interact with the copper ions embedded in the anti-viral and antibacterial coating and form extremely virulent active intermediate molecular species that attack and destroy the protein shell of viruses and bacterial proteins extremely efficiently. The exposed viral mRNA (RNA) or bacterial RNA is exposed and immediately destroyed. a large number of multi-resistant pathogens, E. coli bacteria, influenza viruses, SARS-CoV-2 , Staphylococcus aureus, noroviruses and adenoviruses are efficiently killed and are no longer contagious.
Permanent disinfection of the ICP AFL3-W15A-BT display
In the course of the virucidal reaction, the reactive copper ions change their so-called oxidation states between copper I and copper II. The active copper ions are in no way exhausted, but are available again for the continuous disinfection of the ICP industrial panel display surface. In this context, the surface disinfection effectiveness is actively bactericidal for up to one year.
How are viruses and bacteria transmitted?
In the case of contact infection via touchscreens, pathogens are passed on via contact between hands contaminated with pathogens.Infection from person to person
If a person infected with the influenza virus sneezes into the palm of their hand, the infectious pathogens remain stuck to the palm of the hand. If the infected person shakes hands with another person, the pathogens could migrate further. If this person then puts their hand to their mouth, nose or eyes, they will become infected with the pathogen via the mucous membranes.
Transmission of germs via displays
Viruses and bacteria can even be found on objects. Not only medical facilities, such as clinics,Nursing homes and retirement homes are faced with an increased risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Pathogens can also survive on touchscreens of tablet PCs, cash registers, mobile phones, mobile payment systems, TV sets, vending machines and airline ticket systems.
Pathogens are almost always found on our hands and palms. There is no doubt that we touch our faces with our hands countless times a day. In doing so, pathogens unintentionally get from the contaminated surface of the ICP AFL3-W15A-BT via our hands to our mouth, nose and eyes. Pathogens such as corona viruses are transmitted in this way.
Neoxum anti-viral and antimicrobial protective films are also suitable against numerous other pathogens
This route of infection plays an important role, particularly in cases of diarrhea. Tiny amounts of infectious stool residues pass through the hands to the mouth during contact infection. This route of infection is also known as fecal-oral. This is how pathogens such as noroviruses or rotaviruses enter the organism. Influenza viruses (which cause serious influenza disease) and corona viruses are also transmitted via the hand-mouth infection route. Mouth-nose coverings, masks and FFP2 masks in particular are an El Dorado for pathogens because they are rarely regularly disinfected using sterile methods. We touch the mask several times a day and then press the touchscreen again. After just 5 days in a Petri dish with agar agar, it becomes clear how contaminated a mask that is used only occasionally is.
