Why anti-corona screen protector when there are disinfectants?
Any disinfection of a surface is only good until the next person touches or contaminates that surface. And this is exactly where the antiviral, or antibacterial permanently effective screen film from Neoxum comes into play: At any time, the active coating kills pathogens and constantly reduces the viral or bacterial load. Up to 99.9% of pathogens are destroyed within a period of minutes.
Anti viral & Antibacterial activity within a few minutes - 99.9% inactivation
Anti-virus efficiency
Within a few minutes, up to 99.9% of pathogens are deactivated on the anti-viral and anti-microbial screen protector for Partner Tech PAT-215. The following summary shows that, for example, 99.9% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses were destroyed after just 15 minutes. Influenza viruses, which can trigger serious influenza infections, are 99.9% destroyed after just 3 minutes of contact with the anti-virus screen protector. Diarrhea pathogens such as the norovirus are 99.9% inactivated after just 5 minutes of direct contact.
Antibacterial effect
Even bacteria such as E. coli, also known as coli bacteria, which cause unpleasant urinary tract infections, pathogens of blood poisoning and are feared as triggers of nosocomial infections, are reliably deactivated by 99.9% after 5 minutes. Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus = MRSA) is a multi-resistant hospital germ that sometimes leads to swelling or accumulation of pus, infections of open wounds, especially after operations, inflammation of various organs of the body, for example urinary tract infections, pneumonia or bloodstream infections, and even severe sepsis (medical emergency) (source: BZgA).
Tested according to DIN ISO 21702 and DIN ISO 22196
The antiviral and antibacterial effect over a period of minutes was evaluated and validated by accredited laboratories according to DIN ISO 21702 and DIN ISO 22196. Details can be found in the test reports.
How long does the SARS-VoV-2 virus survive on contact surfaces?
Statement by the Robert Koch Institute on the relevance of disinfection of PC equipment and touchscreens
The Robert Koch Institute already defined the importance of touchscreens and computers in infection prevention in its statement of April 5, 2019:
" The use of computers and devices that are operated via touchscreens is everyday practice in healthcare facilities, including in patient-related environments. Since keyboards and touchscreens are surfaces that are often touched by hand, they represent a possible route for the transmission of pathogens [...] and should therefore be taken into account in the hygiene plan [...]. "Current research results from the CSIRO (Australia's government agency for scientific and industrial Research)
The following graphic explains, according to a brand new analysis by the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) = Australia's government agency for scientific and industrial research) from October 2020, that the COVID-19 virus can survive for a longer period on different surfaces and remains transmissible.
Virus and bacteria killing effect
Based on the antiviral and antibacterial effect of copper, which has been known since ancient times, a patented antiseptic active layer is created that quickly inactivates pathogens without the use of disinfectants.
Copper kills viruses and bacteria
Copper ions, included in the incredibly robust matrix, react with the oxygen that is always present in the air and create reactive oxygen molecules.
If germs come, such as bacteria or viruses (adenoviruses, coronaviruses, many nosocomial germs, Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria, noroviruses, E. coli bacteria or influenza viruses) in direct contact with the active antiviral and antibacterial effective coating of the display film for Partner Tech PAT-215, a so-called reaction is triggered. Oxygen molecules from the ambient air interact with the Cu ions, included in the anti-viral and antibacterial coating, and develop extremely bactericidal active intermediate molecules that extremely effectively attack and destroy the protein shell of viruses and bacterial proteins. The exposed virus mRNA (RNA), or bacterial RNA, is accessible and immediately inactivated. Many resistant pathogens, influenza viruses, Escherichia coli bacteria, noroviruses, Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, corona and adenoviruses are effectively deactivated and are no longer contagious.
Constant decimation of pathogens on the Partner Tech PAT-215 display
In the virucidal reaction, the active Cu ions change their so-called oxidation states between Cu(I) and Cu(II). The active Cu ions are not exhausted in any way, but are available again for continuous surface disinfection. In this context, the surface self-disinfection is actively bactericidal for up to 12 months.
Transmission of infections
In the case of contact infection via surfaces, pathogens are passed on by touching hands contaminated with viruses and bacteria.Infection from person to person
If a person infected with the flu virus blows their nose into their hand, the infectious pathogens stick to the inside of their hands. If the sick person shakes hands with another person, the pathogens can travel further. If this person then puts their hand to their mouth, nose or eyes, they can become infected with the pathogens through the mucous membranes.
Transmission of pathogens via surfaces
Viruses and bacteria also occur on surfaces. Not only medical institutions, such as clinics,Nursing homes and retirement homes are faced with the increased risk of staphylococcus infection. Viruses and bacteria can also survive on display panels of mobile payment systems, snack machines, smart TVs, smartphones, school tablets, POS kiosks and cash registers.
Bacteria & viruses are passed on via the hands. We certainly touch our faces with our hands many times a day. In this way, viruses and bacteria inadvertently migrate from the contaminated surface of the Partner Tech PAT-215 via the hands to the mouth, nose and eyes. Viruses such as corona viruses can be transmitted in this way.
Neoxum anti-viral and bactericidal screen protectors can also be used against many other pathogens
This transmission route plays a particularly important role in diarrheal diseases. Small amounts of infectious stool residues are passed on to the mouth via the hands during smear infection. This transmission route is also known as fecal-oral. This is how pathogens such as noroviruses or rotaviruses enter the organism. But influenza viruses (which cause severe flu) or SARS-CoV-2 viruses are also transmitted via the hand-mouth infection route. Mouth-nose coverings, masks or FFP2 masks in particular are a breeding ground for pathogens, especially since they are rarely cleaned hygienically on a regular basis. Every day we touch the mask many times and then press the touchscreen again. After just 5 days in a Petri dish with agar agar, it becomes clear how dirty a mask that is rarely used is.
